Meet HOMERUN NYC’s debut collab with Nike: a stylish rendition on the Air Max Plus.
Steered by a stealth black upper, the two incorporate HOMERUN NYC branding down the sides as well as co-branded footbeds, keeping the color scheme minimal but not completely devoid of personal touches. That subtle branding detail is what sets it apart from a typical Nike release.
To commemorate, the Brooklyn-based collective is flying out to Australia for a 6.66-kilometer run that’s part sneaker party, part workout. With the Tuned Air collection enjoying a longstanding popularity Down Under since being unveiled in 1998 by designer Sean McDowell, the collection is just as common on the streets of Sydney as it is in New York.
Called the 6.66km Run, the event launches on Sunday, October 19, at Sydney’s SUPPLY Store, finishing at the city’s Bondi Beach. The winner takes home a free pair of the HOMERUN NYC x Nike Air Max Plus, so it’s a true global sneaker event.
