Keith Herron’s Advisry brought the HOKA Clifton UTL to New York Fashion Week as part of its “America, Still” presentation. Several versions of the recently released lifestyle model appeared on the runway, including custom pairs created specifically for the show.
Advisry has come a long way since Herron started the label more than a decade ago as a screen-printing operation. Tyler, the Creator, Steve Lacy, and Lil Yachty have all worn its pieces over the years, while the brand has continued to grow its presence in fashion. Sneakers have mostly stayed outside of that run. An adidas project surfaced during a 2024 runway show, but those shoes never made it to retail.
HOKA’s Clifton UTL gave Herron another chance to work with footwear for the 2026 show. Along with regular colorways of the shoe, Advisry put together several one-off versions using mixed fabric panels and different materials. One pair went with a full leather build, changing much of the look and feel of the standard Clifton UTL.
The Clifton UTL itself takes the cushioning and shape associated with HOKA’s Clifton line and gives it a more everyday, lifestyle-driven build. That made it a natural fit alongside the clothing shown during Advisry’s latest collection without turning the footwear into a separate part of the presentation.
The custom Advisry x HOKA Clifton UTL pairs were made for the runway and are not expected to release. Whether the two brands work together on a retail project later remains to be seen.
