Hasan Minhaj is joining adidas Basketball for the 2026-27 NBA season, and his new job is pretty much keeping tabs on everything Anthony Edwards does. The comedian has been named Ant’s official insider for MINNATLANTASOTA, the campaign adidas introduced alongside the Anthony Edwards 3.
Minhaj will be getting his information straight from Edwards rather than relying on the usual NBA sources. His coverage will include Ant’s performances, sneaker releases, league drama, and whatever else people are talking about online. He’ll also be writing, filming, and editing his own videos throughout the season.
His first appearance came in a new video featuring the adidas Anthony Edwards 3 “Solar Red,” where he wasted little time going after a couple of familiar names. Drake caught a mention over his comment about only four kids in Minnesota wanting Ant’s sneakers. LeBron James was brought up, too, with Minhaj responding to his remarks about not watching anything from the Three Stripes.
Edwards seems pretty comfortable having Minhaj speak for him, although he made it clear he’ll be keeping an eye on the coverage. The Timberwolves star joked that NBA insiders already have plenty to say about him, so he might as well have someone reporting directly from his side.
The new MINNATLANTASOTA episodes begin October 25, 2026, and will continue throughout the NBA season on Anthony Edwards’ and adidas Basketball’s social media accounts. Expect more appearances from Minhaj covering Ant, his sneakers, and whatever happens around the league.
