Ghost in the Shell is entering sneaker territory with an atmos and Reebok collaboration built around the Instapump Fury. The three-way project makes sense on multiple levels, pairing one of Japan’s most influential sci-fi franchises with a silhouette that has long held cult status in the region. With both the shoe and the film tied closely to the mid-1990s, the connection feels especially natural.

A black upper covered in tangled cable graphics gives the Ghost in the Shell x atmos x Reebok Instapump Fury a dark, tech-driven look. Blue, red, and subtle multicolor linework runs across the shoe like exposed wiring, echoing the franchise’s cybernetic themes without turning the design into a costume piece. Teal Japanese text on the heel and Pump button adds another direct nod to the source material while keeping the palette tight and controlled.

Special packaging helps push the concept further, with the box carrying the same wired visual treatment seen on the sneaker. That extra detail gives the release a more complete feel and fits the futuristic tone of the project. Reebok’s Instapump Fury already looks unconventional by design, so using it for a Ghost in the Shell collaboration feels like the right move instead of a safer, more predictable model.
