With rumors of Drake leaving Jordan Brand in favor of adidas, multiple unreleased Air Jordan x OVO collabs have surfaced. However, after the recent Pusha T beef, Drake dropped hints that he would be sticking with the Swoosh after all. In Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode,” the Toronto based rapper is quoted saying “Checks over stripes, that’s what I like,” seemingly ending all speculation that he’d be jumping ship to the German brand.
Today, English Sole @englishsole gives us a look at another OVO x Jordan Brand collaboration that was lost in the archives up until now. While there have been a few different Drake themed Air Jordan 3s, namely the Drake vs Lil Wayne 3s, no OVO Air Jordan is quite as unique as this all Gold OVO Air Jordan 3.
The pair is dressed in a solid Gold premium leather upper with hits of Red and Black found around the rest of the shoe. The tongue of the shoe pays homage to Toronto via the embroidered lettering “6ix,” which is a common nickname for the city representing 2 of the prominently issued area codes in the city. The lone detail tying this shoe to OVO can be found in the form of a Gold Owl on the insole of the right insole.
