Houston is all over the DIOS x adidas Megaride 01, but not in one obvious way. The collaboration mixes references to the city’s custom car scene with Western details tied more broadly to Texas, then works both into the Megaride’s early-2000s runner shape.

Black leather handles most of the upper, with silver and chrome finishes breaking things up around the cushioning, heel, zipper, and smaller hardware. Those metallic hits are a direct nod to Houston car culture and give the shoe a noticeably different look from a standard Megaride release.

The Western influence shows up more in the materials. Embossed floral leather covers the lace shroud, while a snakeskin-textured panel appears closer to the heel. Contrast stitching runs around the back half of the shoe, and DIOS branding is worked into the toe area. The details are easier to pick out in the close-up shots than they are from a distance.

A zippered cover replaces the more traditional exposed-lace look across the top of the shoe. The silver zipper pull adds another piece of metal to the design, while a small red embroidered mark underneath gives the mostly black upper one of its only real color hits.

Underfoot, the Megaride cushioning stays front and center. The open pods through the heel and midfoot are finished in silver, matching the rest of the chrome-inspired detailing, while a black rubber outsole keeps the bottom of the shoe simple.

The DIOS x adidas Megaride 01 releases August 16, 2026, for $180. An early-release event will also take place August 15 from 7 to 10 PM CT at 5011 Navigation Boulevard in Houston.
