Booker’s Lions-inspired footwear wasn’t the only buzz of the day. The game coincided with the Detroit Lions’ divisional playoff clash against the Washington Commanders, setting the stage for friendly rivalry. Booker, a dedicated Lions fan, shared that he and teammate Kevin Durant, a Commanders supporter, placed a playful wager on the game’s outcome.

Despite the hype, Nike has confirmed that the Book 1 “Lions” PE will remain a player exclusive and will not be released to the public. Fans, however, can appreciate Booker’s creativity and connection to his hometown as he continues to shine on the court.
