The Converse x Deus Ex Machina collection debuts July 20, marking a first-time collaboration by two brands that celebrate a culture of creativity. Australian motorcycle brand Deus Ex Machina goes beyond the expectations of a custom bike company, sharing a passion for the surfing lifestyle alongside their love of road machines. The Converse x Deus Ex Machina collaboration features the iconic Jack Purcell silhouette, a timeless casual style adorned with the Jack Purcell “smile,”

“As a young brand that has built a heritage status in such a short time, we’re thrilled to partner with Converse, a brand with such a rich history,” says Dare Jennings, Founder of Deus Ex Machina. “Both are deeply embedded in culture and lifestyle and we wanted the design to make sense with what we both do and stand for.”

The Converse x Deus Ex Machina Jack Purcell sneakers feature a combination of premium suede and heavy-weight canvas in low- and high-top styles and are available in black and burgundy, with a striking whiskey-colored suede tongue. The classic textures of suede and heavyweight canvas exude ruggedness while carrying the clean look of the Jack Purcell.

Deus Ex Machina (god from the machine) was founded in Australia in 2006. With locations in Venice, Calif., Sydney, Australia, and Bali, the brand represents a fun-loving lifestyle. Beloved for their custom motorcycles, Deus Ex Machina also extends this spirit of riding free to clothing, and of course, sneakers.

The Converse x Deus Ex Machina sneakers will be available for purchase at the Deus Ex Machina shops in Venice, Calif., and Sydney, Australia for a suggested retail of $95-100.
