Community Poll: Did The “Red Octobers” Make All Red Shoes Overhyped?

Published on

The infamous Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” colorway, for good or bad the shoe did what it was suppose to do, create HYPE. Since the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” surfaced, we’ve seen multiple silhouettes/brands follow the trend by dressing their shoes in an all-Red theme – each having pretty good success with it too. When the “Red Octobers” officially hit Nike.com and other authorized retailers, it caused many people’s heart rate start to rise and go crazy (pretty much doing anything) just to get their hands on a pair.

Now we are starting to see more all red shoes hit the market and people will always refer them to the “Red Octobers,” example: the previous Nike Flystepper 2K3 “Gym Red” release.

Don’t get me wrong I love all-Red shoes mainly because red is my favorite color so if you were to look in my closet majority of my shoes are all red (and NO you will not see the “Red Octobers” in there either, just wasn’t a fan of the silhouette itself). So with all that said, do you think the “Red Octobers” make all Red shoes overhyped? Vote below and let us know what you think in the comment section.
