Commonwealth is expanding their shops to become more global with a new location in the Philippines. To celebrate, they’ve team up once again with ASICS Tiger to release a special edition Gel Lyte V inspired by the Kalinga.
Kalinga is both a tribal community and a land locked province in the heart of the Cordillera Region, North Luzon, the Philippines. Known for their distinctive body art, Kalinga people lived modest but passionate lives in a world where your skin communicated your social status to the local community.
Honoring the Kalinga, this ASICS Gel Lyte V comes constructed with a premium nubuck, suede and mesh upper dressed in Tan with Batok inspired artwork on the tongue and collar that’s done in Navy.
Look for the Commonwealth x ASICS Gel Lyte V that’s dubbed, “Kultura” (Tagalog for “Culture”) to release on April 7th exclusively at all Commonwealth Locations. A worldwide release will follow at select ASICS Tiger retailers on April 14th.
