Original Story 12/3/25:
The CNCPTS x New Balance 997 “Montage” brings Concepts back to a model they helped define almost a decade ago. Their old 997 pairs still get talked about today, so seeing the shop return to this silhouette feels like a moment fans were waiting on.

This new colorway plays with that familiar Concepts mix of premium materials and unexpected hits. The front half leans on soft grey perforated suede, while the midfoot shifts into a darker charcoal tone that makes the semi-clear N logo pop a little more. That melted-plastic look on the “N” gives the shoe a modern touch without fighting the 997’s classic shape. The heel switches things up again with black suede and a bold pink strike that instantly feels like a Concepts fingerprint. A warm yellow strip on the quarter panel breaks up the greys nicely and adds just enough energy to keep the shoe from leaning too muted.

The midsole carries a slightly aged cream finish, which fits the 997 perfectly and helps balance all the color blocking. Concepts regulars will likely find a couple of easter eggs hidden within.

The CNCPTS x New Balance 997 “Montage” will release December 11, 2025 at Concepts stores and online. The retail price tag is set at $220 USD.
