Cultural storytelling continues to shape Lunar New Year releases, and this season feels especially detail-driven. During a moment when design depth matters more than novelty, CLOT and adidas return with a project that leans into heritage and craftsmanship.

The CLOT x adidas Year of the Horse collection centers on two contrasting silhouettes that represent movement, strength, and tradition. The Superstar Dress returns in an elevated form, shifting the classic shell-toe into luxury territory. Its real cowhide upper carries a horse-inspired brown and white pattern, giving each pair a naturally unique finish.

On the design side, premium construction defines the experience. A leather shell toe, rope laces with gold-tipped ends, leather tassels, and a mixed leather-rubber sole reinforce the fashion-forward direction. It feels less like a sneaker and more like a crafted statement piece, which signals a broader strategy toward collectible footwear.

Meanwhile, balance comes through the CLOT Qi Flow. Rooted in kung fu shoe design, it features a nylon upper, satin-lined collar, frog-button closures, and pearl accents. The espadrille-style sole connects back to CLOT’s previous adidas collaborations, keeping visual continuity across collections.

Still, the project extends beyond footwear. A full apparel lineup supports the theme with matching textures and silhouettes, turning the release into a complete expression rather than a single highlight.
