Comme des Garçons (CDG) and Junya Watanabe brought fresh energy to Paris Fashion Week with their latest collaborations with New Balance. As part of the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, they reintroduce two archival silhouettes: the New Balance 509 and 471.
The CDG x New Balance 509 revisits a tech-inspired runner from the early 2010s. This minimalistic iteration stays true to CDG’s aesthetic, featuring two sleek leather-based designs. The all-white and grey colorways emphasize clean lines and modern versatility, making them ideal for both casual wear and elevated street style.
On the other hand, the Junya Watanabe x New Balance 471 pays homage to a 1970s classic. This model incorporates hairy suede overlays, available in two sophisticated colorways: grey and black. The black pair stands out with its leather base, while the grey version uses mesh for a retro-modern fusion. Both designs highlight the craftsmanship and timeless appeal associated with Junya Watanabe’s collaborations.
Both models are set to release during the Fall/Winter 2025 season, with availability expected through select New Balance and Comme des Garçons stockists.
These revivals offer a perfect blend of heritage and contemporary design, making them must-haves for sneaker enthusiasts and fashion-forward individuals alike.
