CARNAN and ASICS are teaming up again on the GEL-Cumulus 16, adding another release to the ongoing “Path” series. This one leans heavily into purple, with suede, open mesh, leather, and exposed stitching giving the upper a more broken-in, handmade feel than the usual inline pair.

Most of the upper is covered in purple, but there is a lot going on within it. Open mesh reveals green underneath, while hairy suede shows up around the eyelets and other sections of the overlays. Leather is worked into the forefoot, and CARNAN and ASICS split the tongue branding in teal. A black midsole and outsole keep the base dark.

The colors also tie back to the ongoing project. Purple represents the CARNAN and ASICS partnership, green is linked to growth, and black stands for continuity and stability. That same idea has carried through the “Path” series, which is built around the working relationship between the two brands.

The CARNAN x ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 “Path II” releases August 19, 2026 through CARNAN’s website, its flagship store, ASICS Brazil, and select ASICS locations. A wider global release follows August 20.
