The Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low showcases a pristine White premium leather upper and lining, complemented by Deep Royal Blue nubuck overlays and mesh tongues. The shoe rests on a clean White midsole and is grounded by a Blue rubber outsole for a striking contrast. Noteworthy design elements include holographic Swooshes and heel tabs, as well as the embroidered phrase “One Block At A Time,” which serves as Born x Raised’s iconic motto, embellished on the forefoot and present on the tongue tags. The laces bear the poignant statement “In Loving Memory,” heat-pressed and accompanied by branded lace tips. Additionally, the co-branded tongue labels, heels, insole, and outsole feature 3D text, adding further depth to the collaborative design.

With this collaboration, Born x Raised and Nike SB have crafted a visually captivating Dunk Low sneaker that seamlessly merges premium materials, striking colorways, and meaningful details. The incorporation of distinct branding elements and the heartfelt tribute make this release a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts and fans of both brands alike.

UPDATE 9/19: The release of the Born X Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low, originally scheduled for July, was postponed due to the unfortunate passing of its founder, Chris “Spanto” Printup. However, it’s now set to launch on September 28th, likely available exclusively on the brand’s website, with a retail price of $130, following the filming of a commercial for the sneakers on Venice Beach months later.

UPDATE 6/29: The highly anticipated release of the Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low has been officially postponed by Nike. This decision comes in the wake of the tragic passing of Chris “Spanto” Printup, the founder of the Los Angeles streetwear brand. Spanto lost his life in a car accident this week, leading to the rescheduling of the release.

Born x Raised shared a statement on their Instagram account, informing their fans about the unfortunate incident. Spanto was involved in a car accident on June 25 and succumbed to his injuries on June 28 at 7:56 a.m. local time in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was 42 years old.

“He leaves behind his wife Anna and three children, Marilyn, Carter, and David, a sister, three brothers, his mother, step mother, and step father, his beloved grandparents, his family at Born x Raised, his extended native family, the city of Los Angeles that he loved and championed, and an extensive network of true friends.”

At present, no new date has been announced for the launch. Please stay tuned for further updates on this matter.
