adidas is extending their partnership with the Bob Marley estate into fresher territory. Set to release in February 2026, the Bob Marley x adidas Adizero Evo SL carries over the cultural symbolism of past colorways into a high-performance silhouette.

adidas previously dipped its toes into Marley-inspired silhouettes with offerings like the Bob Marley x adidas SL 72 and Samba. Both shoes reflected on Marley’s legacy through retro-inspired aesthetics. The Adizero Evo SL translation modernizes the message through future-facing style.

The shoe features a winning colorway that needs little introduction. A sunny yellow base is partnered with red, black, and green Three Stripes. All four colors pay homage to Jamaica and Rastafarian culture. The black collar helps balance the brighter hues.

Subtle storytelling gives the shoe depth. The tongue includes artwork inspired by adidas’ classic black-and-white branding. Marley’s signature and the phrase “Football Is Freedom” reinforce his connection to sport, unity, and movement.

As a performance runner, the Adizero Evo SL continues adidas’ lightweight racing lineage. Models like the Adizero Adios Pro helped define modern marathon footwear. This version blends that DNA with cultural storytelling, which remains rare in technical silhouettes.
