UPDATE 1/22/26: A sample pair of the Bluetile Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low has surfaced, highlighting its layered storytelling through design, with a mix of black and glossy blue leather finished in a worn texture and a blue Swoosh tucked under the heelside lace panel for a subtle twist. Hidden graphics of butterflies show up under the lace flaps in orange, black, and white. Then you have fuzzy caterpillar-esque laces and an insole graphic that tie the theme together even further. Bluetile branding will be found on the heel tabs while the South Carolina flag appears on the inner tongue. A release date is expected in Summer 2026.
Original Story 1/16/26:
The Bluetile x Nike SB Dunk Low just surfaced in the most unexpected way. During a video from shop owner David Toole, a quick box opening offered a brief but telling look at the collaboration. Even with only seconds of footage, the Bluetile Skateshop x Nike SB Dunk Low immediately drew attention ahead of its expected Summer 2026 arrival.
What stands out first is the color story. A black upper anchors the design, while an icy blue outsole adds contrast and brightness. Orange embroidered hits wrap around the heel, giving the pair a sharp visual edge without feeling overdone. The split heel branding reading “Blue” and “Tile” brings identity into focus, while the South Carolina flag on the inner tongue grounds the shoe in local pride.
The build of the shoe adds even more character. The upper uses textured panels that give it a rough, skate-ready feel, while the translucent outsole fades through soft blue tones for a smooth finish. Orange stitching across the heel adds just enough contrast, and the fuzzy laces bring in a worn-in edge that fits Bluetile’s skate roots. Details like the gradient sole and layered materials make the design feel thoughtful and well put together, not rushed or overdone.
That balance between bold color and regional storytelling fits perfectly with Nike SB’s strongest shop collaborations. It feels considered rather than flashy, allowing Bluetile’s personality to guide the design. The palette quietly mirrors South Carolina’s coastlines, forests, and warm climate.
The timing also carries weight. Bluetile’s recent expansion into Charleston strengthened its role in the state’s skate culture. This release reads like a celebration of that growth and commitment.
The Bluetile x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to release in Summer 2026 through Nike.com and select skate shops.
