Brooklyn artist Aya Brown’s Nike Air Max 95 takes the familiar “Neon” idea in a much darker direction, using brown and black across most of the shoe with bright green worked in around the edges. The colors also give it a strong “Beef and Broccoli” feel, especially with the brown suede running through the upper.

Green shows up on the Swoosh, tongue, Air units, and outsole, but there’s still a lot of black keeping everything grounded. Brown also added mesh through the toe and side sections, which changes the look of the upper quite a bit compared to a more traditional Air Max 95 build.

A lot of the personality comes from the smaller details. The shoes were made with custom “ABrown” branding, Japanese lettering, special packaging, decals, and signed cards for the people who received them.

Only 200 pairs of the Aya Brown x Nike Air Max 95 were reportedly made. They’re staying with friends and family, and a public release isn’t expected.
