After select locations were shut down due to safety concerns, Swatch issued a statement reminding shoppers that the “Royal Pop” collection is not limited. That means plenty of restocks are expected to take place throughout the year.

Audemars Piguet and Swatch have officially revealed the “Royal Pop” collection, a colorful pocket watch collaboration releasing May 16th at selected Swatch stores worldwide. The project brings together Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak design language with Swatch’s playful POP watch concept from the 1980s.
The Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop collection includes eight different pocket watches across two styles: Lépine and Savonnette. Each design uses a rounded-edge case shape with bold color blocking, co-branded AP x Swatch dial details, and Royal Pop branding. Several versions lean into bright Pop Art colors, while others keep things cleaner with white, black, or multicolor dial accents.
Swatch also reworked its SISTEM51 movement for the Royal Pop lineup. This new version is presented as a hand-wound caliber, adding a more traditional watchmaking
detail to a collaboration built around accessibility, color, and collectability.
Instead of a standard wristwatch format, the Royal Pop design functions as a pocket watch that can be styled in different ways. The watch face pops into an outer holder, giving the collection a more playful approach than many expected from an Audemars Piguet collaboration.
The Audemars Piguet x Swatch “Royal Pop” Collection will release May 16th at select Swatch locations worldwide. Availability is expected to be limited, with select U.S. stores listed below. The Lépine style will retail for $400, while the Savonnette edition, available in blue and yellow, will retail for $420.
