ASICS has teamed up with Malaysia-based retailer Hundred% and Malaysia’s biggest sneaker event, SneakerLAH to release a special edition Gel Kayano 5 OG that takes inspiration from Nasi Lemak, Malaysia’s national dish.

This offering of the ASICS Gel Kayano features an Off-White upper to represent the rice and egg white, while Green nods to the cucumbers. Red is used for the chili sauce, while Yellow represents the egg yolk. Brown nods to the nuts and anchovies used in the dish to complete the design.

ASICS Gel Kayano 5 Nasi Lemak Release Date

Look for the ASICS Gel Kayano 5 OG “Nasi Lemak” to release on October 5th exclusively at SneakerLAH 2019, which takes place on October 5th and 6th in the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
