San Diego’s Arts-Rec, created by pro skateboarder Kellen James, is teaming up with Nike SB for an exciting new collection. Since its founding in 2018, Arts-Rec has become a cultural hub blending skateboarding, music, and sneaker culture. This collaboration will highlight the iconic Nike SB Dunk Low, offering a fresh take on the fan-favorite silhouette.

The Arts-Rec x Nike SB Dunk Low showcases a striking combination of textures and hues. The toe boxes and ankle collars come dressed in a soft rust pink nubuck, offering a refined touch. Olive green tumbled leather dominates the quarter panels, providing a subtle contrast. Meanwhile, the swooshes appear in a rich amber brown, crafted from fuzzy suede for added depth. One of the most standout elements is the khaki overlays, which feature a debossed pattern reminiscent of leopard spots, exuding a strong “Safari” aesthetic. Additional branding details include “arts” and “rec” embroidered on the heels, along with “for recreational use” stamped on the lateral heel.

Arts-Rec Nike SB Dunk Low Release Date

The Arts-Rec x Nike SB Dunk Low is slated for release in Fall 2025. The initial drop will be available exclusively through Arts-Rec, with a broader release to follow on Nike.com. The retail price is set at $135 USD, making it a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts and skate fans alike.

UPDATE 4/19/25: The upcoming Arts-Rec x Nike SB Dunk Low brings together earthy tones and rich textures for a bold, theme-driven design. It features a rust pink nubuck toe and collar, olive tumbled leather side panels, and amber suede Swooshes. Khaki overlays with a debossed animal print add a safari-inspired touch. The heels display “arts” and “rec” branding, along with “for recreational use” on the lateral side.

New in-hand photos highlight additional details, including San Diego-inspired touches like outsoles that say “Arts-Recreation San Diego California,” four lace sets, and Zoom Air pods decorated with zoo animal graphics. Fun phrases like “Please Do Not Tap On Glass” and “Please Do Not Feed the Animals” further the zoo theme, while a UFO graphic on the inner tongue nods to the city’s reputation for unexplained sightings. A release date is still to come.
