Community Poll: Should Jordan Brand Release an Air Jordan Original Legacy Collection?

Published on

The Air Jordan franchise is celebrating their 30th Anniversary of Jordan Brand, and while they continue to celebrate Michael Jordan’s career as he consistently elevated his game to extraordinary heights each year, it might be time to see an official Air Jordan Original Legacy Collection happen.

As of right now, Jordan Brand is in the process of celebrating MJ’s career highs by introducing three legacy shoe collections that pay homage to certain moments of greatness. But instead of paying tribute with a mixture of retros, wouldn’t it be nice to see each silhouette be celebrated by each year Michael Jordan did something extraordinary.

For example, take MJ’s rookie season when he won Rookie of the Year, Jordan Brand should release an inspired “Rookie of the Year” Air Jordan 1. From there they could release other inspired Air Jordan 1s to some of the key moments during his rookie season.

Following his rookie season they could continue with the Air Jordan 2 through the Air Jordan 14, keeping the silhouettes during the time he played for the Chicago Bulls. Imagine all the sick Air Jordans we would have. There would be a few MVP Air Jordan releases, along with NBA Finals/NBA Finals MVP pairs etc.

The list could go on forever, but if Jordan Brand were to release an Air Jordan Original Legacy Collection, they could have a decade locked down with Air Jordan Retros we’ve never-seen-before all with true meaning.
