Jordan Brand is one of the most legendary sneaker brands of all time. The Air Jordan Book compiles its rich history into a collector’s item book. Published in collaboration with Assouline Publishing, the release is a visual celebration of the 40-year legacy of hoops and culture.
Celebrating the brand’s 40th anniversary, The Air Jordan Book is organized in six chapters, with each section dedicated to one of Michael Jordan’s six championship rings. It chronicles the narrative of how MJ’s basketball prowess influenced and altered fashion, sneaker, and contemporary culture worldwide. The 408-page hardcover book features a foreword by Jordan and text by author Adam Bradley.
Available in two editions – Classic Edition ($123) and Ultimate Edition ($2,300) – the book will be released in July. The former edition showcases a never-before-seen portrait of MJ by Annie Leibovitz, shot in the iconic Jumpman pose. The Ultimate Edition is presented in a black Baroque-inspired clamshell case with 1,000 copies available and each copy is numbered.
