Mr. Exclusive Customs uses the Air Jordan 8 Retro “Bugs Bunny” as the base to design his latest Air Jordan 8 Retro “Elephant Print” Custom. There were several different techniques used for the creation of this Air Jordan 8 Retro Custom. The first process was dying the lighter suede gunmetal gray. The next step was airbrushing the inner lining of the insole red. Then the painting of the mid-sole from gunmetal gray and red to black, elephant and red. Also, the pull tab was painted in elephant print. And last, but not least, engraving the elephant print in the straps.
He also used a Sharpie marker to draw the elephant print first, then Dremel drill engraved it in the leather. Next a wood burning tool was used and finally it was hand painted. The whole entire process took three weeks to complete the custom. The story behind the Air Jordan 8 Retro “Elephant Print” Custom originated from a random conversation that him and his partner Richard “Richie Rich” Lampley had, which inspired him to want to create a elephant print design.
