Better Air Jordan 7: “Raptors” or “DMP Raptors”

Published on

The Air Jordan 7 holds a special place in Michael Jordan’s iconic journey. It was in 1992 when MJ rocked these kicks, capturing his second NBA championship and later leading the Dream Team to Olympic gold in Barcelona. Today, we reminisce about two distinct iterations of the beloved “Raptors” colorway.

The original Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” made its debut in 1992 and resurfaced most recently in 2012. These kicks feature a sleek black nubuck upper with striking accents in True Red and Club Purple. The moniker “Raptors” stems from its striking resemblance to the Toronto Raptors’ team colors.

One variant, the Air Jordan 7 “DMP”, was part of the Defining Moments Package. This collection offered two distinct colorways, one inspired by the Toronto Raptors’ uniform and the other by the Orlando Magic. The Raptors edition boasts a black and charcoal nubuck upper adorned with red highlights on the center and the iconic Jumpman logo. Notably, the neoprene inner sleeve bears the “JORDAN” lettering on the tongue.
