In 1991, Michael Jordan rocked the Air Jordan 6 during his MVP season. He clinched another scoring title and nabbed his first NBA championship. Tinker Hatfield, inspired by MJ’s cars, designed the AJ6 with sleekness. In 2010, two NBA-themed colorways released paying homage to Jordan’s rivalries with the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers.

Although mostly black, the Air Jordan 6 “Pistons” showcases Detroit Pistons’ hues. Leather and suede make up the build, with touches of grey. Varsity Red and True Blue adorn the branding and midsole. The heel boasts visible Air for cushioning, and the outsole features translucent inserts.

The Air Jordan 6 “Lakers” pays tribute to Jordan’s first NBA win against them. The kicks sport an all-black upper with suede and leather. Purple and gold stitching accents the overlays. A translucent rubber outsole ensures robust traction.
