Back in 2000, the Air Jordan 6 “Midnight Navy” was one of those pairs that came and went without getting a bunch of repeat releases. For years, if you missed the original, that was pretty much it. Jordan Brand finally circled back to the colorway in May 2022, more than 20 years after it first dropped.
The shoe itself is about as simple as it gets. White leather covers most of the upper, then Midnight Navy is used on the tongue, heel tab, lace area, and Jumpman logos. It’s easy to see some “Sport Blue” in the blocking, but the darker navy makes this pair feel a lot more low-key.
Not much changed for the 2022 retro, which made sense. The perforated leather was still there, along with visible Air in the heel and the translucent outsole underneath. Jordan Brand basically brought the old look back instead of trying to freshen it up.
The Air Jordan 6 “Midnight Navy” returned on May 11, 2022. It wasn’t part of the original 1991 lineup, but the 2000 release gave it enough history to become a familiar Jordan 6 colorway on its own.
Pairs can still be found on the resale market through sites like StockX if you missed the 2022 drop.
