To celebrate the release of the Transformers: The Last Knight back in 2017, Jordan Brand gifted Mark Wahlberg with an exclusive Air Jordan 5 “Transformers” PE.
Today, thanks to English Sole, we get a look at an alternate pair of the Air Jordan 5 that was made to commemorate the “Transformers” film franchise. Reminiscent of the original “Black Metallic” Air Jordan 5, the shoe ditches the patent leather used on the final product with the year ’84 embroidered on the sides as a nod to when the first episode of Transformers premiered. Elsewhere, Optimus Prime’s colors appear on the shark overlay around the midsole with glow-in-the-dark outsoles contrasted by a “Transformers” logo underneath the forefoot. Finishing off the theme are graphic insoles.
