Back in 2013, Jordan Brand debuted the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” celebrating the classic 1990s Will Smith sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Over the course of the show Will Smith wore many of classic Air Jordans, including the Air Jordan 5 “Metallic” and “Fire Red” colorways in the pilot.
This release of the Air Jordan 5 was inspired by the show’s title card palette, featuring a Cool Grey upper with multicolored inner, vibrant Club Pink Jumpman on the tongue, Black laces, and Pink and Green “23” logo at the ankle.
In 2020, the Air Jordan 5 “Alternate Bel-Air” was released following the footsteps of the original 2013 colorway. This edition sports a White leather upper with a Purple midsole, mismatched vibrant accents on the interior lining, Jumpman branding hits and embroidered “23” on the lateral heel.
