As Jordan Brand leans deeper into its archive, new silhouettes are starting to feel like deliberate dialogues rather than simple mashups. That tension now shapes the Air Jordan 4028, a Summer 2026 release that merges the Air Jordan 40 platform with the unmistakable fold-down shroud of the XX8. The result reads less like a tribute and more like a calculated evolution of two eras.

A zippered cover wraps the forefoot, concealing bold “2” and “3” graphics that only appear when unsealed. Underneath, a Volt interior directly recalls the Air Jordan XX8s launch palette, while the sculpted midsole and lower collar keep the silhouette aligned with modern performance preferences. Glossy patent panels sit against matte textiles, creating contrast without visual clutter.

Air Jordan 4028 Release Date

The Air Jordan 4028 is expected to release in Summer 2026 through select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. Early pairs have already started appearing at select European stores, though an official U.S. release date has not yet been confirmed. The retail price is currently set at $205 USD.
