Jordan Brand is giving the Air Jordan 40 one final spotlight before attention shifts toward the next signature model. Dubbed the “Greatness Edition,” this exclusive version was created for only 23 people worldwide, with each recipient chosen for reaching a high level of success in their respective field.
Sneaker personality Jacques Slade, better known as @kustoo, was among those selected. His package centers around the idea of time and how people choose to use it, connecting back to his decision to launch a YouTube channel one day after losing his publishing job in 2013.

Rather than a standard sneaker delivery, the presentation was built as a carefully planned experience. A mirrored box opens to an envelope asking the recipient to define time, followed by a personal letter from Jordan Brand designer Jason Mayden. The package also includes a booklet documenting the development of the Air Jordan 40 and recognizing the team behind the model.
White gloves and a cleaning cloth are included for handling the remaining pieces, along with a custom Hanhart stopwatch finished with Jordan branding. The shoes sit at the end of the presentation, featuring a white pony-hair upper, a black leather toe cap, and grey hairy suede wrapping the heel. The pony hair serves as a reference to the G.O.A.T. theme tied throughout the project.
The Air Jordan 40 “Greatness Edition” is limited to 23 pairs and will not be released to the public. With no additional Jordan 40 colorways currently scheduled, the exclusive project appears to mark the end of the model’s run as Jordan Brand prepares to introduce the Air Jordan 41.
