The Air Jordan 3 “White Cement” is set to return in Spring 2027. One of Jordan Brand’s most legendary sneakers is getting another go-round. Since debuting back in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 has helped shift basketball footwear and remains a staple silhouette today.
The third signature shoe from Michael Jordan sported Tinker Hatfield’s debut design for the Jordan Brand. The AJ3 was the first Jordan signature shoe to showcase visible Air cushioning while the elephant print overlays and Jumpman logo would help make the shoe one of the most recognizable shoes of all-time.

The iconic “White Cement” colorway on the Air Jordan 3 gives the shoe historical significance to MJ’s career. Michael Jordan wore the sneakers during the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and took off from the free throw line to cement one of the greatest dunks in NBA history. Wearing the AJ3 also helped solidify Jordan’s spot with Nike moving forward.
There have been several retro releases of the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement”. Each release featured some slight tweaks to the shoe’s design, whether it be the shape, branding, or build. This upcoming release is rumored to be true to the original.
According to @zsneakerheadz, Jordan Brand plans to pay homage to the original shape and design that may have been lost in other retros over the years. This includes no vintage or aged treatments featuring the iconic white leather upper, elephant print on the toe and heel, and accents of black and fire red throughout. Nike Air will also be present on the heel, a detail valued by Jordan collectors.
