Joining the Jordan Stadium 90 and the newly revealed Jordan MVP models, Jordan Brand’s VP of Footwear, Gentry Humphrey, gives us a first look at another upcoming Air Jordan hybrid silhouette called, the Air Jordan 2/3.
The model joins a lineup that includes hybrids like the Dub Zero, Spiz’ike, Six Rings, Sixty Plus, Mars 270, and Don C’s Legacy 312 to name a few. All of which were inspired by previous Air Jordan releases.
Similar to the Air Jordan 1.5, a sample that would eventually see a retail release in 2015, the Air Jordan 2/3 combines the upper of the Air Jordan 2 with the tooling of the Air Jordan 3, incarnating Michael Jordan’s signature shoes as well as his jersey number. The first colorway arrives in a traditional “Chicago” blocking featuring a mix of White and Red throughout its upper atop a Sail midsole and Grey Jordan 3-inspired rubber outsole.
