Two of the iconic colorways from the Air Jordan 12 series that originally debuted in 1997 are the “Taxi” and “Flu Game” releases.
The Air Jordan 12 Taxi features a clean White leather upper with its signature toe panel in Black and Metallic Gold accents on the upper eyelets. Receiving its nickname, “Taxi,” due to its Black and Yellow carbon fiber on the outsole makes this release perhaps the most iconic version of Michael Jordan’s 12th signature shoe.
While having flu-like symptoms during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan wore the now iconic Air Jordan 12 Flu Game while putting up 38 points and giving the Chicago Bulls a victory. Since that game, the Black and Red Air Jordan 12 instantly became a shoe that every sneakerhead must-own.
