Air Jordan 1 Low OG “CNY” Releases February 2026

Published on

Jordan Brand’s Lunar New Year series for 2026 begins with the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY, an approach that values subtlety over bombast. Instead of opting for brash symbolism, this sneaker embraces texture, material and a quiet detail. That strategy seems well matched with recent Chinese New Year offerings trending away from disposable hype in the direction of everyday appeal and longevity.

Soft Football Grey canvas makes up the shoe’s upper and includes tonal stitching throughout. Embroidered flowers lace across the toe box for cultural texture without overwhelming the silhouette. Cream laces and shoe lining warm up the color palette, while the brown rubber outsole gives the sneaker a vintage, lived-in finish. The effect is intentional, not merely decorative.

OG detailing is left unaltered. Nike Air branding appears on the tongue, while the Wings logo is stamped into the heel. Those details root the design firmly in Air Jordan 1 history, even as the materials move away from leather.

One subtle detail stands out, however. The Chinese phrase that translates to “renewal, harmony, good luck,” a set of values frequently associated with Lunar New Year, is stitched inside on the insoles. It’s an inside message, quite literally, to only the wearer, which is in keeping with the sneaker’s otherwise understated direction.
