Jordan Brand is covering the Air Jordan 1 Low in dark purple for a new “Grand Purple” colorway arriving later in 2026. Rather than using contrasting colors across the upper, the shoe gets most of its variation from a mix of matte panels and glossy patent leather.

The softer purple material runs through the toe box, side panels, and collar. Patent leather wraps the toe, eyestays, and heel, bringing some of the shine usually associated with the Air Jordan 11 onto the low-top. Even the Swooshes blend into the upper in matching purple. A white midsole breaks up the look before the purple returns along the rubber outsole.

Instead of the usual tongue branding, a fuzzy chenille patch holds an embroidered “J” with white and pink detailing. The varsity-style patch is one of the few spots where another color enters the design. Tonal Wings logos are embroidered over the patent leather heels, while Jumpman logos appear inside the shoes.
