Michael Jordan’s final run with the Bulls has been covered from nearly every angle, but one detail that rarely gets the same attention is the farewell letter he shared with the game of basketball. Jordan Brand is now bringing that story to the Air Jordan 1 High OG with the upcoming “Love The Game” release.

The pair uses a premium mix of white leather, rich brown overlays, and tan accents across the collar, heel, and outsole. Its textured leather panels add a rugged feel, while the collar and heel are designed to resemble the grain of a basketball. A burgundy outsole adds contrast, helping this release stand apart from past earth-toned Jordan 1s like the “Mocha” and “Latte.”

You can see the storytelling woven into every part of the shoe. “Much Love and Respect” is featured on the medial collar and coordinate basketball-shaped leather hangtag as a nod to Jordan’s letter to basketball. Additional nods to his retirement letter are featured on the tongue tags.

Air Jordan 1 Love The Game Release Date

The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Love The Game” is expected to release on August 1, 2026 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. The release will be available in full-family sizing, with adult pairs priced at $185 USD.
