While patent leather was originally used on the Air Jordan 11, Jordan Brand started using the material on Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe, the Air Jordan 1.

Released in limited quantities back in 2013, this Air Jordan 1 was built with Black and Gold patent leather upper that was modeled after a rare original sample of the iconic silhouette.
Not to be confused with the “Gold Top 3” colorway, the Air Jordan 1 “Gold Toe” made its debut in 2018 for the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities.
