Sneaker Bar Detroit has recently teamed up with Metro Detroit sneaker boutique “Puffer Red’s”. The partnership will consist of sneaker review videos and other potential ideas in the future. The first thing to come from this new collaboration is the video review of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Black” colorway, available to view on Sneaker Bar Detroit’s YouTube channel.
The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost is Kanye West’s 2nd model with adidas Originals since switching over from “The Swoosh”. Kanye considers himself a fashionista of sorts and it was his goal that the Yeezy 350 Boost transcended current sneaker trends. This “Black” colorway is a follow up to the “Gray” colorway that introduced the Yeezy 350 Boost line.
There are a lot of hidden details on the Yeezy 350 Boost. The upper is made up entirely of formfitting primeknit done in the Pirate Black and Charcoal Gray colorway. The woven primeknit gives the shoe a grainy look similar to television static on the old box TV sets. On the inside foot of the upper you have a premium suede arch support done in the Pirate Black colorway with the letters “YZY” embossed in the center of the right shoe and the Adidas 3 leaf logo embossed on the left shoe. Sonic Welded Seam Tape that connects the primeknit material of the upper into one piece.
The insole is made up of an antimicrobial material while the sock liner is made up of clarino leather to prevent slippage with your foot.
Your midsole and outsole are combined into one Pirate Black piece with adidas Boost technology running throughout the entire length of the shoe. In the mid-foot section of the outsole you have the adidas name and 3 leaf logo. Heading towards the heel of the outsole you have exposed Boost technology and directly on the heel there is a half-circle shaped pod with the word “Boost” engraved into it.
Overall I think this version of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost is nice. You can’t go wrong with all Black and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the adidas Boost technology. I wear a size 15 and the largest size I’ve heard of so far to be released is a size 13. (Kanye shrug).
The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Black” will be available this Saturday, August 22nd, in limited quantities. If you live in Southeast Michigan, Puffer Red’s will be one of two retailers in the state who will have these shoe ready to sale this weekend.
