adidas is reshaping the Stan Smith in a way that is hard to miss. Expected for Summer 2026, the adidas Stan Smith SQ keeps the white-and-green setup tied to the original model, but swaps the familiar rounded toe for a squared-off front.

White leather gives the upper its classic Stan Smith base. The perforated Three Stripes stay on the side panels, green branding hits the tongue and heel tab, and the Trefoil logo remains on the back. From most angles, adidas keeps the shoe close to the tennis sneaker people already know.

The toe is where this version breaks away. adidas gives the front a flatter, sharper shape that pushes the Stan Smith closer to dress shoes and ballet flats, while the outsole is reshaped to follow the same squared profile.

Most Stan Smith updates live in safer territory with new colorways, collaborations, or material changes. The adidas Stan Smith SQ goes after the shape instead, which makes it feel more like a true silhouette update than another seasonal refresh.

The adidas Stan Smith SQ is expected to release in Summer 2026 exclusively in women’s sizing. Retail is set at $130 USD, with pairs expected to be available through adidas.com.
