Adidas Confirms They Sold All Yeezy Sneakers: Yeezy Season Officially Over

Adidas has officially sold off all remaining Yeezy sneakers, marking the definitive end of its high-profile yet controversial partnership with Kanye West. The brand confirmed in an earnings call that no Yeezy pairs remain in its inventory, closing one of the most influential sneaker chapters in history.

During the 2010s, Yeezy sneakers helped Adidas gain market share in the U.S., directly competing with Nike and Jordan Brand. The hype was undeniable—each release sold out instantly, with resale prices skyrocketing. However, in later years, oversaturation and design fatigue led to a decline in excitement.

The fallout between Adidas and Kanye West began in 2022 when West made anti-Semitic remarks, forcing Adidas to terminate the partnership in October. The split was public and controversial, leading Adidas to liquidate existing Yeezy inventory while pledging to donate proceeds to charity. West’s actions, including controversial fashion stunts and public outbursts, further distanced him from mainstream brands, even resulting in Shopify shutting down his Yeezy.com store.

What’s Next for Yeezy?

While Adidas has officially moved on, the future of Kanye West’s Yeezy brand remains uncertain. He has previously hinted at opening independent Yeezy stores, but with Adidas no longer involved, the brand’s influence in the sneaker industry is in question. Whether West can rebuild Yeezy without Adidas’ infrastructure remains to be seen.
