In celebration of the adidas Mutombo 20th anniversary, adidas Originals will be releasing a purple and black colorway of the signature shoe on October 5th, 2013.

The Mutombo signature basketball shoe was originally released by adidas during the 1992-93 NBA Season. This next colorway pays tribute to Mutombo’s time playing with the Denver Nuggets. Traditional African patterns are used throughout the shoe and the iconic shield logo incorporates his jersey number, used throughout his 18 year NBA career.

Launching October 5th, 2013, the Mutombo shoe will be available at select adidas Originals retail partners, adidas Originals retail stores and adidas.com/originals, USD105.
