New adidas Anthony Edwards 2 Colorways Surfaces

Published on

Anthony Edwards is stepping into his next chapter with the adidas Anthony Edwards 2, following his successful debut signature model. Recently revealed in a bold new “Black/Purple/Pink” colorway, the AE 2 showcases an eye-catching design and updated tech-driven details.

Spotted in a video shared by @dretheshoegod, this AE 2 colorway stands out with a vibrant mix of black mesh, iridescent purple TPU overlays, and hot pink accents. These design updates move away from the clean lines of the AE 1, favoring a more aggressive and expressive look.

The upper now features a ribbed ballistic mesh quarter panel for durability and breathability. Additionally, the ventilated TPU caging on the forefoot gives the shoe added structure while keeping weight low. A key design feature includes the wraparound outsole that climbs onto the sides of the shoe, creating a fluid, almost futuristic silhouette.

The heel area brings further innovation with X-shaped TPU reinforcement and sleek curved lines, enhancing both lockdown and aesthetics.

While adidas has yet to confirm performance details, the AE 2 is expected to deliver lightweight support and court-ready responsiveness.

adidas AE 2 Release Info

The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 is set to release in late 2025. It will be available at select adidas Basketball retailers and adidas.com. The retail price tag is set at $130 USD.

With its dynamic new look and performance-driven updates, the AE 2 shows strong potential to build on the success of its predecessor. Fans of Anthony Edwards and bold basketball silhouettes should keep an eye out for more colorways in the months ahead.
