UPDATE 4/27/26: A major moment followed adidas’ Adios Pro Evo 3 reveal, as the shoe made an immediate statement at the London Marathon. Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe won the race in 1:59:30, becoming the first runner to go under two hours in an official marathon. Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha crossed just 11 seconds later, becoming the second athlete to reach that mark.

Sawe and Kejelcha both raced in the Adios Pro Evo 3, adidas’ first super shoe to weigh under 100 grams. Their performances give the Three Stripes another major marathon milestone, especially as the brand continues building momentum in distance racing. Nike still had a presence near the front, with third-place finisher Jacob Kiplimo running 2:00:28 in an unreleased prototype.

adidas’ record-setting weekend helped push even more attention toward the $500 Adios Pro Evo 3. The limited launch sold out quickly this morning, while a wider release is expected to follow later this year.

The adidas Adizero Adios Pro EVO 3 continues the brand’s dominant run in elite marathon racing. adidas has stacked up six World Marathon Major wins, three world records, and one Olympic record time in recent years, giving this latest super shoe serious momentum before launch.

Next-gen Lightstrike Pro Evo foam sits at the center of the design, offering adidas’ lightest and most responsive compound to date. The updated foam cuts nearly half the weight from previous versions while helping the shoe stay quick, efficient, and race-ready over long distances.

ENERGYRIM adds another major performance upgrade underfoot. This carbon-integrated system allows adidas to pack in more foam while fine-tuning stiffness for better stability. As a result, the Adizero Adios Pro EVO 3 arrives 30% lighter, delivers 11% more forefoot energy return, and improves running economy by 1.6% compared to the last model.

The specs keep the focus on pure speed. The shoe weighs just 97 grams in a men’s size 9 and features a 39mm heel, 36mm forefoot stack height, and 3mm drop.

The adidas Adizero Adios Pro EVO 3 releases April 27th in extremely limited quantities through adidas.com and select running specialty stores. Retail price is set at $500.
