Action Bronson will continue his collaboration with New Balance with the introduction of the Action Bronson x New Balance 1890, a silhouette developed entirely from scratch. Rather than refresh storied silhouettes, Bronson’s latest project launches with its own debut through the rapper’s unique colorways. This evolution also marks an expanded creative influence and suggests a sustainable vision for future releases.
The New Balance 1890 looks to the brand’s performance past while taking strides into new territory. Silhouette wise, the cut up midsole section pays homage to the original 2010 New Balance 2002, which was marketed as a technical flagship silhouette of the time. The addition of teardrop paneling shapes the upper into something more sculptural and artistic. Overall, the 1890 comes across as experimental when placed next to models like the 1906R or 2002R.
The two debut colorways reflect Bronson’s storytelling range. “Cyborg Tears” uses layered blues, silver accents, and synthetic textures that lean futuristic. “Hornet Tusk” shifts toward nature, pairing tan leather with open mesh that mirrors organic structures. Together, they show how the Action Bronson New Balance collaboration balances imagination with wearability.
Both pairs feature rope laces and bold branding touches that connect them visually. The Baklava New Balance 1890 pack also signals a broader rollout plan, much like earlier Baklava projects that expanded beyond footwear. That approach gives the model room to grow beyond a one-off debut.
While no official date is confirmed, Action Bronson releases typically follow shortly after teaser campaigns. Expect updates soon through New Balance and Bronson’s channels. The Action Bronson x New Balance 1890 is expected to arrive late January/February 2026 at New Balance and select retailers.
