Nike Astra Ultra Appears in Blue Void With Gum Soles

Nike’s Astra Ultra “Blue Void” ventures into the future via generative AI and 3-D design tools. The futuristic, all-new silhouette features sculptural lines, textured curves, and tech-inspired detailing across sole and upper.

It first arrives in Fall 2025 with a standout fingerprint-like traction pattern, which unfurls from outsole to heel. A “Blue Void” upper in cool hues rests atop a light gum sole for innovative style with lifestyle appeal. Curved ridges snake across the synthetic upper, to imbue the silhouette with motion even when standing still.

Details of the AI-generated design process have been kept secret so far, but the footwear form itself says a lot. The Astra Ultra’s futuristic form is a clean break from retro-driven design trends, instead pointing towards a more experimental future. Minimal branding and clever layering without overlap allow the shape to shine.

The Nike Astra Ultra “Blue Void” will be available for $115 USD via Nike.com and select retailers in Fall 2025.

This is one for the sneakerheads who are constantly in pursuit of the next thing.

Lil Yachty Previews New Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 Low in Music Video

Lil Yachty has dropped another new entry in his Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 collection, this time in a minimalist Black and Red colorway. The shoe arrived unexpectedly in his new “I Need Meds” music video, fueling more rumors of Yachty-led releases to come in 2025.

Sharing the same silhouette as Yachty’s original Air Force 1 Low, this pair keeps changes to branding swaps and small details. A black leather base takes up most of the upper, with contrasting red accents on the outsole, sockliner, and Concrete Boys branding on the heel. The shade isn’t exactly “Bred,” but it has a similar muted red quality as what you can see on the Nigel Sylvester “Brick by Brick” pair.

With a few other colourways now having been released, such as a “Black/Purple” pair first seen at Coachella and “Crock Skin” variant spotted during Paris Fashion Week, this “Black/Red” iteration might just be the cleanest of them all yet.

As for a release date, nothing has been confirmed for this Lil Yachty Nike Air Force 1 Low, but be sure to stay prepared. If previous releases are anything to go by, Concrete Boys won’t be shy of hyping these on their own terms.

Nike Shox Ride 2 “Bright Cactus” Releases August 6th

The Nike Shox Ride 2 “Bright Cactus” is stomping into Summer 2025 like a jean jacket with attitude. Nike’s newest remix pairs rugged “Bright Cactus” denim with messy, frayed edges that scream, “I woke up like this.” It’s distressed, it’s loud, and honestly, it’s fabulous.

Black hairy suede on the toe and heel adds fuzzy flair and bold contrast. Meanwhile, the black midsole looks like it just survived a paintball match with Volt splatter—on purpose, of course.

Then comes the fun part—those iconic Shox pillars bounce back in the same bright Volt shade, matched by forefoot Air cushioning for extra spring. It’s sneaker tech meets wild style.

Whether you’re running errands or turning heads on the sidewalk, this Ride 2 isn’t afraid of attention. It’s a head-turner that’s also built for comfort.

Retailing for $180 USD, the Nike Shox Ride 2 “Bright Cactus” drops August 6, 2025 in men’s sizing on Nike.com and select retailers.

So if your sneaker rotation feels a little too neat, fray the rules and let this chaotic cactus ride.

The Nike Shox Ride 2 returns with a stylish twist that blends the future with fossilized flair. A full Metallic Silver upper replaces typical layering, giving the silhouette a slick, modern edge.

Around the heel, the vibe shifts. Desert Khaki suede and tan raw leather add earthy warmth, giving it a look like it’s just been unearthed from ancient sands. Together, the contrasting finishes tell a story that feels both athletic and adventurous.

Underfoot, the classic Shox cushioning adds bounce and style. The spring-loaded sole still turns heads while keeping your stride soft and stable. Whether you’re hitting the pavement or styling a fit, this sneaker blends tech and tone effortlessly.

This retro-futuristic design isn’t just bold—it’s wearable. The neutral palette plays well with streetwear, while the shiny upper keeps things elevated. It’s a rare mix of comfort, nostalgia, and modern aesthetics.

New Balance 1000 Coated in “Lime Leaf”

New Balance continues to gain traction around the 1000 silhouette, now releasing a “Dark Silver Metallic/Lime Leaf” colorway in time for Fall 2025. While hype continues to build around an incoming collaboration with Salehe Bembury, the more general release models like this one continue to keep the retro-futuristic runner in the spotlight.

Splashed with metallic greys and silvers, the multi-layered upper of the 1000 “Lime Leaf” dons synthetic overlays and mesh underlays. Adding a touch of ventilation to the shoes, they are then contrasted by the bold Lime Leaf accents throughout the heel, tongue and branding on the toe. Of course, the classic “1000” text and enlarged midsole help complete the rest of the tech-driven design.

The silver and Lime Leaf colorway is the perfect neutral for both collectors and first-time buyers, sitting right on the spectrum of both heritage and hype.

Bad Bunny Previews New adidas Slides

Bad Bunny has received a lot of hype recently, and one of the latest came in the form of his own adidas Slides being spotted on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Appearing next to Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Adam Sandler, the Puerto Rican rapper could be seen sporting an unannounced pair of slides, which may be what he has in store next for the German sportswear giant.

They look to be in the same vein as the highly popularized YEEZY Slides, as well as paying homage to adidas’s classic DNA. The upper features sculpted 3-Stripes placed on top of a single molded foam construction. The footbed is made up of ridged texture that provides traction, while the adidas para Bad Bunny branding inscribed within the shoe is the same house language he has sported on previous Originals releases.

The beige color seen on the Late Night show and the coral red pair seen earlier are not the only two colorways in store, as multiple are believed to be planned for what will likely be under his BADBO 1.0 capsule. These new releases would be Bad Bunny’s follow-up to the adidas Gazelle City Series colorways.

Material specs have yet to be confirmed, but judging by how lightweight these look, it is safe to say that it will be EVA foam, which is a common go-to material for slides in general.

Timing has also been perfect for Bad Bunny after sold-out concerts in Puerto Rico and now, a growing film career.

The Bad Bunny adidas Slides are likely to be released this Fall 2025 via adidas Confirmed and a select retailer worldwide.

JJJJound x Salomon XT-6 Surfaces in Two Fresh Colorways

JJJJound, the Montreal-based design studio, continues its collaboration with Salomon for 2025. After working with the brand on the XT-Wings 2 in 2023, the studio is back, working on a fresh update to the XT-6 silhouette, available in two colorways. Continuing the trend of outdoor-lifestyle crossovers, this upcoming collaboration updates Salomon’s XT-6 with a modern edge.

The first colorway presents a relatively muted take on the silhouette, combining black and charcoal grey with pops of red, and featuring branding from JJJJound on the lateral heel. The second pack ups the ante with an athletic-inspired take on the model. In this take, the mesh upper is rendered in royal blue with yellow overlays, red branding from both Salomon and JJJJound and a high-tech sensibility. Visually, the pack is inspired by vintage performance, but has the performance technology of a modern trail running shoe.

While these aesthetics play into an urban-ready aesthetic, both colorways are outfitted with Salomon’s classic performance technologies. This includes the XT-6’s Quicklace system, SensiFit overlays, tough toecap, and EndoFit upper construction to keep your foot locked in place. These touches, along with the brand’s logos on the tongue pull tab and heel keep branding to a minimum.
