Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Harajuku” Revealed for atmoscon

atmos has another custom Air Force 1 lined up for atmoscon, ten years after releasing a 50-pair pack at its first event. Creative director Hirofumi Kojima shared a look at the Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Harajuku,” which adds a map of the Tokyo neighborhood to an otherwise all-white shoe.

Laser graphics follow the streets of Harajuku across the toe and heel panels. The detailing leaves much of the white leather exposed, while the Swooshes, laces and sole keep their usual “Triple White” finish. This pair uses the reintroduced ’01 shape, also seen on recent collaborations with Nigo and Steven Victor.

The first atmoscon Air Force 1 pack arrived in 2016 with white and black pairs carrying “TYO” and “NYC” lettering. Those designs referenced the retailer’s Tokyo and New York locations at the time. For this year’s custom, the connection to Harajuku comes through the street layout etched into the upper.

The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Harajuku” will be featured at the Nike booth during atmoscon in Tokyo this weekend, where attendees can learn how to win a pair. There may also be an opportunity to customize shoes with laser detailing, although that hasn’t been confirmed. A wider release date has yet to be announced.
