The Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” is the starting point for Slam Jam’s latest Nike collaboration, although the shoe itself comes in black. The Italian retailer calls the concept “silver before refinement,” tying it to the original colorway and the 97’s history in Italian nightlife.
Cracked leather covers the mudguard, with what looks like tumbled material filling the recessed panels above it. Both textures appear elsewhere across the layered upper, so there’s some variation in the finish despite the single-color treatment. On the side, a metal mini Swoosh takes the place of the standard embroidered logo.
A grainy texture also shows up on the sole, while white O-shaped markings line the full-length Air unit. The teaser images give a clear look at those details, but the tongue branding is harder to identify.
The Slam Jam x Nike Air Max 97 will release October 31, 2026, through Slam Jam.
