Brown cow print covers much of the Nike KD 19 “Texas,” and the black detailing over it looks like stitching you’d find on cowboy boots. Kevin Durant’s latest signature shoe started out with solid colors that let the lightning bolt-shaped shell do most of the work. Between this pair and the “Halloween” edition, prints are becoming a bigger part of the lineup.
White sections surround the lightning bolt shapes, separating them from the cow print covering the rest of the upper. The shell remains easy to pick out, even with the extra pattern underneath. Black ornamental detailing runs across the brown-and-white base, resembling the decorative stitching found on cowboy boots.
A gold longhorn-inspired accessory sits at the top of the tongue and adds to the Texas theme. Between that piece and the boot-style flourishes, there’s more going on here than a change in colors, especially compared with the simpler pairs that opened the KD 19 lineup.
The Nike KD 19 “Texas” is confirmed to be headed to retail, despite looking like something that could have been made exclusively for Durant.
