The Air Jordan 4028 “Black/Barely Volt” is heading to retail after making its biggest impression on court during Bam Adebayo’s 83-point game in March 2026. The colorway looks back to the Air Jordan XX8, bringing back the black and bright green mix that became closely tied to the model when it debuted in 2013.

The upper keeps one of the XX8’s most recognizable features with a zippered shroud covering most of the shoe. Zipped up, the pair stays almost entirely black, while opening the shroud exposes Barely Volt underneath and brings much more color into the design.

Jordan Brand also changed the cushioning for the 4028, stacking full-length Zoom Strobel over full-length ZoomX foam. Internal straps are worked into the upper for support, and a herringbone pattern covers the outsole for traction.

The Air Jordan 4028 “Black/Barely Volt” releases October 2, 2026 through SNKRS and select retailers. The shoe will be available in men’s sizing for $200.
